Overwhalemed

Hello, you brilliant slightly caffeinated lot,

Overwhelm. It’s a sneaky little bugger. Whether it’s the state of the world, the endless to-do lists, or just trying to remember why you walked into the kitchen, it all adds up. Add Parkinson’s into the mix, and some days feel like wading through wet cement while someone yells, “Hurry up!”

But we’re not doing this alone. That’s what Handshake is all about—creating a community of voices, stories, and shared experiences to remind us we’re in this together. The world may feel heavy, but here, we can lighten the load by sharing, laughing, and sometimes yelling into the void (surprisingly therapeutic).

This week, let’s focus on connection and those moments that remind us we’re part of something bigger. The community we’re building—blogs, podcasts, books, and more—is proof that we’re unstoppable (even if we’re a bit wobbly).

So, grab a moment of calm and enjoy this week’s highlights.
